A federal regulation code covering trailer construction requirements for specific products.

Examples:

MC 200 and MC 201: Rubber-lined compartments for hauling liquid Nitroglycerin.

MC 331: Stainless or mild steel for hauling compressed gases, ammonia, and chlorine

MC 338: Stainless or low carbon steel or aluminum insulated cargo tank

MC 406, 407, and 408: Alloy or stainless steel, multi-purpose cargo tank constructed after December 1, 1967
