Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)

The actual weight of a loaded truck and/or trailer. On a truck scale the sum of the axle weight readings would equal the gross vehicle weight. If the GVW exceeds the GVWR this would indicate the vehicle or trailer is loaded in excess of the manufacturer’s rating for the vehicle or trailer.
